Yashshvi Lotlikar

Hi, I’m Yashshvi-Anytime you feel you want to just sit under the stars, discuss about life, deep philosophical things, talk to me about health or want a companion for a jog, workout, I’m your girl next door!

Growing up in a middle class family, I never learned the importance of a balanced diet or how much is too much! Along with this added pressure of getting good grades made it worse for me! Luckily I could complete my studies from one of the best Engineering & MBA colleges in Mumbai (yes I am a Post Grad)

Then came the pressure of competing with colleagues to get promotion, I worked round the clock, got the promotion but traded my health for this! All of this, I did wholeheartedly but not passionately, I always felt I do not belong to a corporate!

Then came the worse time of Covid, when my family and I was hit in the worst way possible! My Dad got diagnosed with cancer, mom with clinical depression & I already had PCOD. The reason of this situation was clear-our lack of Ignorance! This made me realise, what are we chasing in life? And for what? We are so busy in chasing life goals that our health is on a standby! Soon I took the charge, started working on myself! Got certified as Clinical Nutritionist and started understanding the grim reality of India’s Health (mine included) I realised as a Nutritionist I can only cater to few people who approach me for health advice! What about the rest of India? How can I work for them. Also, I am a hardcore social worker and throughout these years-I did work for many NGOs for different purposes. But still something felt incomplete! What I can do on a national level which will bring an impact In India-which will truly make me feel I did something that will remain with the people, not just monetary help or buying things!

This thought led to the birth of Nlit-Nutrition Literacy. This is our attempt to work for the Nation in a way that we bring to your attention India’s health literacy, our connection with food, our understanding of our body! And work passionately to build a community of Nlit which will be critical, mindful of their choices and at the same time also create Leaders for future Generations!

Yash Sawant

As a child, I was often weak, frequently falling sick, and getting injured. One day, I watched an episode of the anime ‘Dragon Ball Z,’ where Goku was training while traveling to Planet Namek. That episode inspired me to start training my body and strive to become as strong as Goku. Although I haven’t achieved his physique yet :p, it was the spark that motivated me to prioritize my health and strength.

Just as Goku inspired me to take that first step, NLiT aims to support you in achieving your health goals!
