Managing to stay fit along with a job seems a difficult task. It’s important to know that while work is important so is your personal health. Few tips here:
1.Firstly, I always ensure I plan my next day, the previous night. While this may feel like an irritating task but trust me if u r some1 who can list down the to do list for the next day, u can somehow find time & fit your workout in the schedule as per the time availability.
2.Always keep in mind, health is a priority & should be on your daily self-care goals. So, while parties, hanging out with friends, any other leisure, recreational activities, are important, you can first prioritize your workout or daily fitness goals and then if time permits, spend it on other things.
3.I have realized the importance of ‘timing the workout’ like minimizing the time b/w sets or spending only desired time on the workout, &by this I mean, keep your phone aside or keep away all distractions while working out.
4.Whatever is required for the workout, the clothes, the protein, the pre workout, I make sure I keep my stuff ready the previous night itself. So when I’m timing my workout in the morning, I’m not wasting time contemplating what to wear, what to carry & saving time.
5.A good nutrition plan accompanied with the right quality of food will act as a catalyst & a fuel to help u achieve your daily workout targets while, we often miss out on a good diet when it comes to juggling between daily work and other things. Carbs before workout to provide the requisite kick, protein after to repair the muscles, fat to keep your immune system and hormonal balance intact is a requisite. This helps prevent fatigue and will provide the desired amt of energy.
6.I do emphasize on building a circle of friends, who r like-minded, energize u to get better. This really has a very powerful impact on one’s motivational aspects & acts as a push.
7.The days when I feel it’s going to get hectic or der is no time for workout (there can never be such days, but in case) then I do yoga or meditation.
8.The most difficult thing to do is to show up. Workout is a mandatory task, there is no way I can skip it, just throw in a workout gear, rest happens automatically!
